The collection contians four diaries kept by John G. Zinser. These diaries are dated 1830, 1831-1832, 1835, and 1838-1852. All are in German. There is some English translation in the back of the third.
Sin títuloBishop Roberts was a typical itinerant circuit rider for the Methodist Episcopal Church. The saddlebags were a common tool for such men. Methodist ministers literaly lived out of their saddlebags for large blocks of time. These bags reflect the wear and tear that accompanied their normal usage.
Also included in this collestion is Robert's pocket watch, Bible and rocking chair.

Sin títuloThis collection contains a photocopy of a manuscript entitled I Always Wore My Topi- The Burma Letters of Ethel Mabuce, 1916-1921. It was edited by Lucille Griffith in 1972 from letters written by Ethel Mabuce and entered for consideration of the Jesse Lee Prize. This manuscript recounts Mabuce's experiences as a missionary to Burma. It is 704 pages in length and was published by the University of Alabama Press in 1974.

The theme of itinerancy is present throughout both manuscripts. The photocopy of the original manuscript is incomplete. Other topics within these manuscripts are sermons, sermon outlines, life during the Civil War, poems, and an obituary.
Sin títuloThe Papers of Anne E. Herbert is a varied collection which contains correspondence, programs, and articles. The correspondence consists of "Dear Friends" letters from 1950-1958 from a variety of missionaries and mission stations. There is a folder of information on mission work in Bolivia that contains articles and correspondence from 1955-1958. An ecumenical chart from 1967 is included. Program materials from the " Twentieth Conference on New and Furloughed Missionaries" held at DePauw University in Indiana from June 14-20, 1956, are part of this collection. There is a copy of an April 1946 report prepared by Frank T. Cartwright entitled Report on the Special Mission to China. A news clipping from the Alta Advocate (Dinuba, California) dated March 28, 1968, contains a biographical sketch of Ann Harder who was associated with Herbert while both were in Hong Kong. Additional miscellaneous unrelated items are also included in this material.

Sin títuloThe Robert Thomas Parsons Collection contains both a complete copy and a partial copy of Parsons' Ph.D. dissertation from the Kennedy School of Missions of the Hartford Seminary Foundation. The first folder contains biographical data and a photograph of Parsons from a collection of his papers at Hartford Theological Seminary. A complete manuscript of the thesis, titled "The Function of Religion in an African Society", is collected in two volumes. A partial collection of the thesis containing sections III, IV, V, VI, and VII is collected in two volumes and marked with a logo from the Department of World Missions of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Sin títuloThis accession contains two brief letters from White, seven books in Chinese, and one in Arabic. Six of the books are bound with wooden covers with continuous folding pages. There is also a handwritten piece in English entitled "Translation of a Chinese Love Letter."
Sin títuloThe Anna Smith Papers contain several documents prepared by Anna Smith relating to the Mende language. One item is a Mendi-English dictionary. It is a typed copy and is 189 pages in length. Typed copies of the Gospels of Mark (twenty-six pages) and John (thirty-seven pages) are included. There are several copies of the Gospel of Luke. One is hand written and one is typed (fifty pages).
In addition, there is an eighty-six page typed copy of a grammar guide by M. Eaton entitled "Studies of the Mende Language."
