This collection includes personal papers, photographs, and personal items from the life and work of the Draper family. There are four photograph albums that have pictures of the Draper children, places the family lived in Asia, other missionary staff workers, and their students. There are photographs of students in China and Malaysia that show the schools and classes Charles Draper taught science and Mary Ethel Draper taught English. Also included are Charles E. Draper's higher education papers from when he attended Purdue University.

The collection contains information pertaining to the educational and professional life, as well as the home life of Deaconess Ivy Myers, while also exploring topics within the Methodist Deaconess and Missionary organizations as a whole. These documents encompass Chicago Training School (CTS) class and faculty information, images and history between the years 1922, 1925-1927, 1929-1930, and 1933. The most prominent subject within the collection pertains to Lucy Rider Meyer, the founder of CTS, particularly information surrounding her death and accounts by acquaintances regarding Meyer's character and professional experience. The collection accommodates obituaries of other significant members of the Chicago Training School, as well as written correspondence to Ivy from various persons. The publications contain information on both Deaconess and missionary work. Photographs depict CTS faculty and students, as well as Ms. Myers life outside of her education and profession.

This collection contains photographs, portraits, photograph albums, correspondence, higher education documents and artifacts from the missionary work of the Stahl family members. The numerous photographs and photograph albums contain images of former students including wedding photographs, other missionary workers and various landscapes in China.

This record group contains administrative records, as well as staff records from the division on curriculum research and development, the division of Higher Education, the Division of the Local Church, general youth fellowship material and various publications. The Administrative series contains executive meeting minutes, minutes of the board, audit reports and ad hoc committee reports. The Division of Curriculum contains meeting minutes and reports from various sub committees. The Division of Higher Education contains reports and correspondence with various schools supported by the denomination. The Division of the Local Church contains resources developed for the local church and Sunday school, meeting and convention minutes, and information relating to camping. General Youth Fellowship contains information about general conventions, resources developed for youth programs, and youth council minutes. Publications are resources developed for the local church and college programs.

This collection contains records of Matthews’ personal and ministerial life, understanding that these topics overlap. The ministry series contains a sizeable compilation of Matthews’ sermons and bulletins as well as newspaper clippings detailing ministerial milestones, particularly her appointment as district superintendent and her consecration as bishop. There are also a significant number of congratulatory letters and other correspondence. Most of this series documents Matthews’ episcopacy. The education series contains mostly course notes and term papers that are listed in chronologically order by semester. The Women series constitutes mostly materials from workshops for women and women’s issues that Matthews led. The latter part of the collection consists of family records, such as photographs, information on dolls, and genealogical papers. Also, artifacts such as stoles, a clerical robe, pins, and Matthews’ copy of the 1980 Book of Discipline.

This collection includes the sermons, teachings, addresses, writings, notebooks, and accounting records of United Brethren Bishop Cyrus J. Kephart. The bulk of the collection are his sermons, that while undated, may have come from during the period when he served as pastor in Iowa and Ohio, 1878-1913.. His teachings and addresses, due to the subjects and audiences being addressed, appear to have been written while serving as Bishop of the United Brethren Church's Southwestern District from 1913 to 1925. Other writings include his studies and possible drafts of his publications.

This material contains the minutes of the Commission along with reports, publications and correspondence.

This collection consists of manuscripts, a diary, and some biographical information. The manuscripts are all handwritten, and most appear to have been written by Lyman Miller. They address various topics and issues, ranging from "Socialism" to "An Oyster Supper." The longest manuscript is that of a novella written by "Augustus Smith" relating the trials of his marriage to a highly educated wife. One of the manuscripts is a student paper by Bertie Miller.

The diary was written by Lyman Miller and consists of handwritten pages bound together with string. It related the events of his daily life from April through November, 1883.

The biographical material consists of several typewritten pages giving genealogical and other information about members of the Miller family.

This collection contains many of Drury's publications: his biography of Otterbein, as well as a number of pamphlets; photographs; Drury's letters that he authored, and letters he received; letters or collections of old works that Drury kept for himself.

Among his letters, most of them are demonstrative of the kind of inquiry he was making into Otterbein and the history of the United Brethren Church in Christ. For the kind of histories that Drury was writing, he was meticulous about dates and the need to keep them straight in order to construct a coherent history. Much of his personal notes contain lists of dates, where it is clear he was hovering over the page attempting to connect disperate material or events. The largest collection of letters comes between 1883-1884, where Drury was ostensibly doing the bulk of his historical writing and attempting to contact any living witnesses available.

The photographs of this collection are largely unmarked, though there is at least one picture of A.W. Drury that is identified.

Drury's interest in Christian apologetics eventually led to an interest in things secular, as he later developed an interest in behavioral patters and their relation to religion; this led to his interest in William James, and the pamphlet he wrote on Psychology of Religion.

The Mellony Turner papers primarily documents her life as a missionary in Bulgaria. There is a number of records on the American School for Girls in Lovetch, consisting of photographs, textbooks, yearbooks, and financial records. Turner's notebooks and lecture notes are included in the collection. It should be noted that there is a single folder containing information on closing the school. Turner kept diaries during her tenure in Bulgaria as well extensive correspondence. There are general images in both photograph and slide format ranging from the royal family of Bulgaria to her own family in the United States. Turner has a copy of a sermon by Bishop Burt; the bishop who had established the Bulgarian mission at the beginning of the twentieth century. Clippings and other types of publications reflect Bulgarian life and politics. There are eight lectures and a sermon written by Turner. Artifacts are personal in nature, reflecting the clothing and accessories of mid-twentieth century Bulgarian dress. There is a pot in the artifact series as well.

The other series within the collection reflects Turner's immediate family. The few records relating to her parents deal with their will and a folder of letters. Mellony's brother, Ewart Turner's three folders are related to his spying for the United States War Department during the World War II. Though he was ministering to a church in the United States during the war, Ewart was familiar with German communities in Europe and South America. The War Department had Turner collect information on Germans, in the U.S., who were thought to be a threat to national security during the war. This information is elucidated in a correspondence folder.
